Out of Zone Enrolment Applications - Term 2, 2026

The Kaukapakapa School Board invites applications from out of zone students for enrolment in Term 2, 2026.

There are 10 places available in Year 1.

The deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday 30th April 2026.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, a ballot will be held on Monday 4th May 2026.

Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.

Application forms are available from the school office and can be:

• delivered to the school office between 8:25am and 2:25pm, or

• submitted electronically to the school office

Ballot Process and Priority Order

If a ballot is required, it will be conducted in accordance with the Education and Training Act 2020.

Out of zone applications will be processed in the following order of priority:

1. This priority category is not applicable, as the school does not operate a special programme approved by the Secretary.

2. Siblings of current students.

3. Siblings of former students.

4. Children of former students.

5. Children of employees of the Board or children of Board members.

6. All other applicants.

If there are more applicants in any of the priority groups (2–5) than there are places available, selection within that group will be by ballot. Applicants seeking priority status may be required to provide evidence to support their application.

The school will contact you closer to the time of your child starting to arrange an 

enrolment appointment with Chris Hood, our principal.
